Annie & James – Lyde Arundel

Annie & James got married at the gorgeous Lyde Arundel, in the midst of Summer. They enjoyed a ceremony at the breathtaking Hereford Cathedral, followed my a reception at Lyde Arundel.

The ceremony at the Cathedral provided a beautiful back drop for their wedding. The bridesmaids arrived by a vintage double decker bus – in blue of course! The bridal party were greeted by strangers, and friends of friends alike! Little students from Annie’s school even made an appearance, dressed in blue!

After the ceremony, guests travelled to Lyde Arundel, where they were greeted on the lawns with canapes, champagne & cocktails! Annie & Jay arrived by vintage car, and then had a stunning moment of releasing doves. We then got called into the Great Hall, which was decorated with gorgeous chivari chairs & sashes and handmade blue napkins, provided by local supplier, Couture Events. Centre pieces were grand, tall white candelabras, with tables named after their favourite gins.

We tied in the grandeur and the rustic feel, with a stepladder & crates, which tied in candles, blue & white hydrangeas & gin bottles tied with blue tags to provide the table plan. The wedding breakfast offered a delicious three course meal, and before dessert, a surprise of singing waiters, organised by the parents! They provided endless entertainment & laughter. The guests certainly got stuck in!

The evening reception, continued with the theme of surprises & fun, with pizza shack van, cocktails van & an ice cream van – I mean who doesn’t love a Mr Whippy after too many wines? They then had one more surprise, a band the couple weren’t expecting for their first dance & evening dancing in the Haywain.

We loved working with Annie & Jay to create their perfect day, it really was a wedding to remember!
